Elemental Practice of Body Alchemy

The state of zero resistance allows the body to release any tightness, resistance, stiffness, and tension stored in the spine, muscles, and joints. Zero resistance also helps in promoting effortlessness in asana practice in attainment of the state of Sukham (bliss). These elements reside in the concept of the physical self (Prakriti) and the five Tanmatras and Tattwas. Each element brings into practice its respective teachings and wisdom that lies within the asanas that reflect these Pancha Bhuta and chakra energy centres.

“Zsa Zsa’s deep understanding of body anatomy and the elemental aspects of earth, water, fire and air has been valuable, providing me with both physical and mental strength”.

The Tanmatras

All states of matter, all beings, and every cell in every organism in the entire cosmo contain the five great elements. Akasha (Ether), Vayu (Air), Agni (Fire), Apas (Water) and Prithvi (Earth) the five great elements of creation.

Based on these Tanmatras and Pancha Bhuta, Element Flow is a hatha vinyasa system for practitioners to explore the bodily elements through a curated series of asanas and pranayama practices with specific and respective intentions to ground, open, purify, strengthen, and mobilise in finding balance and equlibrium physically and emotionally. Practicing with intentions creates structure in holistic self-practice.

“I love the balance between strengthening asanas and relaxation in class”.
